We would like to take this time to thank all of you for participating in our Philadelphia Super F League. All teams did an excellent job of cooperating with the officials and following the league policy/guidelines. You have all contributed to the success of the program through your promptness for games, game management and team management. We also appreciate your patience during the rescheduling process when teams had requested changes.
We know many of you were new to the game of futsal, so there was a learning curve to be expected for the coaches, players, parents and officials.
As coaches, we also know the desire to have competitive or equal competition for your teams. We made a concerted effort to provide equal competition for the teams, although it was not always possible. We greatly appreciate your patience with the league in our inaugural season.
Even though many of our officials were highly qualified for outdoor, many were new to futsal. All our referees completed a US Certified Futsal Course, however, for many, our league was their first experience doing games. As you know, futsal is promoted as a "non-contact sport" and this topic has created the most controversy as to what is acceptable or not by the officials, coaches, parents and players which will always result in some disagreements. This is obviously a judgment call and is impossible to keep everyone happy on a consistent basis but overall there were not too many complaints. Next year, we plan to host a pre-league officials meeting so that we can clearly communicate our league rules and expectations.
We will definitely be offering more futsal programs throughout the year, so please follow our website for new programs being offered.
Any Additional Suggestions are also welcomed and encouraged.
Thank you again for your support and we wish your teams/child a successful outdoor spring season!
